I decided to go with my geometric stars and stripes concept for the logo of Design for Democracy. I wanted to portray the design aspect of the brand as the "stars" within the American flag. The stars on the American flag have sharp lines and edges just like triangles do but I created a "pyramid" like shape to add more depth and dimension. These lines not only add more depth and visual appeal but also create a 3D affect which draws the eye in. I also decided to skip a color palate because I felt the black made the design stand out much more than color did. Overall, I wanted the logo to have the essence of the American flag which is the ultimate symbol of democracy with a touch of flare and design!
