GREMLINS
This promotional poster was designed for Secret Movie Club, who screened both Gremlins and Gremlins 2 on 35mm at the Vista Theater in Silverlake which is in Los Angeles.
When I realized how much the movie theater in the movie looked like the real Vista pictured here I knew I had my design idea. I based the building design off an actual photo I took on my phone while crossing the street in front of the theater. I tried to create an atmosphere that leaned more into the fun aspects of the gremlins vs. their more sinister natures. I also wanted to create a "version" of the gremlins that was not as spot on to what they may actually look like in the film(s) in order to keep the composition more uniformed.
