Questo lavoro nasce dalla mia passione per Paul Klee e i suoi colori, e da un’idea comune della classe di Arazzo che ho frequentato: ciascuno di noi doveva scegliere un dettaglio di “Acqua selvaggia” per poi ingrandirlo e realizzarlo tessendolo. Scegliendo i filati e le loro sfumature, ognuno ha espresso la propria interpretazione del quadro.
Quello che mi aveva colpito era la tecnica alta di Klee che aveva riempito la tela con così tante tonalità, e questo mi dava la possibilità, anche con un dettaglio particolare, di poter scegliere molti colori. Per questo motivo la tessitura di questo piccolo arazzo è estremamente ricercata, precisa e tecnica, anzi direi che è proprio l’esercizio della tecnica fine a sé stessa l’elemento caratterizzante di questa mia opera.

This tapestry was inspired by my passion for Klee and his colours. The idea arose during a Tapestry Course I attended: each student was asked to choose a detail from Klee’s Wildwasser to be enlarged and then weaved. By choosing the materials and colours, everyone conveyed his/her own interpretation of the painting.
I was moved by Klee’s technical mastery in filling the painting with so many hues and this gave me the chance to choose many colours even for a small detail. For this reason, the weaving of this small tapestry is extremely refined; precision and technical mastery are its characterizing features.
