These are images from a trip to Iceland in November of 2015. I had great hopes for famous locations and amazing conditions, but this trip turned out to be an exercise in photographic humility, as the weather was rainy for most of my stay and I was unable to fulfill my photographic ego with the preconceived images I wanted to capture.

Years later now, I am grateful for the opportunity to have experienced a new country and realized I came away with images that are worth sharing, because they were my experience and not entirely the famous locales that we have come to see in mainstream media.
