In this project we were asked to increase the density of an unused plot of land in Vienna, Austria. This project stemmed from an intense workshop lasting one week where two other universities joined us. These two universities were from Columbia and Ukraine. In this week our early design ideas began and we had a interim review at the end. After that week we had 2 more weeks to improve on the thoughts and views of the professors. The title of the project was 'Komet Garden' and this was because 'Komet' was the area's name but more importantly 'Garden' was our driving ambition for the site. By introducing new green spaces, we hoped to have revitalised the site. The building is mostly residential with retail units on the ground floor.
