A series of plans taking from different levels of the hotel. This page shows the top floor with the pool facilities and the ground floor, which emphasises the way the hotel interacts with the Lyon Housemuseum. The two intermediate floors show the arrangements of interior, the single room and double room in prticular. This helps the viewers understand the way people move through the hotel, connecting with the usage of space in my design.
Montage that shows the relationship I wish to establish between the city, hotel and Lyon Housemuseum. The hotel is acting as a filter for the city and Lyon Housemusum to watch each other.
The montage that shows the hotel in context of the Kew neighbourhood.
The photographs are taken from a visitors view point, highlighting the experience of people in this design.

The following pages illustrate the hotel in context and how the people and other biuldings view it in the Kew environment. Signage is a focal point of these montages, as they are what people use to identify the location of the site. This is also evident in the design of Lyon Housemuseum as Cobett Lyon created the word “LHM” on the rooftop and also the brick techniques of spelling the street names on the fence.
