In this series (along with my woodgrain piece), I have been exploring re-occurring patterns in nature. Side by side a simple fingerprint and the patterns of woodgrain show a strong similarity in line, form, and space. My goal with this project was to expand on new ideas, paint these repetitive images and compare and contrast them.
