No amount of Google-fu could help me find high resolution renders of the Transformers logo (I'm talking really high resolution) so I set out to create my own vector recreations. The hardest part was creating a believable custom font where it says "Heroic Autobot" and "More than meets the eye". I still believe this project is a work in progress but for the most part I'm satisfied with where it's at.

The Autobot version of the logo. The insignia was difficult because there are quite a few versions in existence, with minor differences between (for example, the eyes are spaced slightly wider, etc.). I referenced the box art from the 1984 toys. The gradients were also tricky to get right; the specific red was tough to nail down.

The Decepticon insignia was just as tricky as the Autobot's because the difference among the versions is more obvious, especially with the eyes. One version has smaller eyes, and for more recent versions they're bigger. Getting the gradients right was equally tricky but I'm happy with the result.
