Given one week to design and build a working lamp research was the first phase that I began the design process with. By researching materials that were local, recycle, cost effective, and sustainable I decided to learn a new process and use marble. Next, I researched the placement of lamps throughout the home and their lighting purpose. I wanted to design a lamp that not only lit the area, but effectively used space and was multi-functional. I then began the rapid ideation process finalized my design. Last, I worked with marble and brought my idea and design to life by prototyping it.
