Jingle - Mobile & Desktop Landing Page Design

Challenge
Young generations are facing unique financial challenges, from student loans to rising living costs. Traditional financial literacy education often falls short in engaging a younger, digitally native demographic. A savings and budgeting app tailored to their needs not only provides essential financial tools, but also introduces a gamified approach to goal-oriented saving, making financial empowerment accessible, engaging, and fun
User Flow
One function of the design should be to entice users to continue to visit the app, so gamifying savings goals seemed like a fun way to keep users coming back. How could reaching savings be made irresistible enough to compete with other apps we know users are looking at?
Wireframes + Feedback
A key takeaway from user testing was that users wanted more numbers and more spending tacking. People are used to seeing a lot of fancy graphs on a financial app dashboard, but I wanted to hone in on the gamified savings and goal-setting aspect to highlight a unique function of the app.
Design Decisions
Jingle is guided by the design principles of simplicity and appealing to the target demographic. The brand is comprised of four pleasing, low saturation pastel colors that share high contrast with black, and all type treatments use Montserrat.
Final Screens
Retro
Designing Jingle was an incredibly fun and challenging experience, pushing me out of my comfort zone in multiple ways. As a financial literacy app, it required research in a new area for me. It also represents a bit of a stretch for me design-wise; I was able to showcase a modern take on UI trends without sacrificing cross-generation usability. Such a fun project!
Thank you!
