This is a digitally revised version of an original hand drawn illustration. I used pen and ink on matt board to make the original illustration, and then converted the drawing to a digital image to create a series of variations demonstrating reflective symmetry and revisions of color. The original Gallimaufry presents a confused and jumbled assemblage of content including shapes, color transitions, patterns, and interlocking lines. While the original drawing best represents gallimaufric conditions, the symmetry in the variations of Gallimaufry appears to relieve such confusion, bringing order to the jumbled assemblage.
