FabLab ZOI stands as a pioneering research and technological development laboratory, dedicated to fostering innovation at the intersection of science, design, and art, serving as a catalyst for human advancement and the enhancement of quality of life throughout Latin America.

The project centered on the meticulous design of the envelope structure, interior layout, and decorative elements for a bespoke "Makers" space nestled atop the FabLab's headquarters. With the cutting-edge capabilities of Grasshopper + Rhino software, we meticulously crafted parametric structures, pushing the boundaries of architectural innovation.

Inspired by the breathtaking views of Quito's mountainous landscape visible from the rooftop, our concept embraced the juxtaposition of nature and modernity. We set out to capture the beauty of nature in our design approach, using a mix of heights, sizes, shapes, and textures to create a play of light and shadow.
