Emoji Design

Since 2011, emoji has become a new emotional expression language that has become popular around the world. 
In a sense, it is interesting and easy to understand, reducing the cost of communication between humans and eliminating the need to learn complex grammatical sentences; it spans different nationalities and cultures and is gradually filling in the gaps beyond our written expressions. It continues to explore the ability of human communication, to express funny or playful or strong or indifferent, sending emoji has become the most favorite way of emotional communication for today's young people, changing the single way of traditional text language communication.
As an interactive entertainment media, Douyin also carries the function of users to communicate and express emotions.To express your attitude in videos, keep in touch with friends in private messages, or make a call for your favorite idol in live-streaming, the demand for emoji is everywhere. 
Therefore, we set up a special project for Douyin emoji, which started in September 2019. The goal is to upgrade the brand based on the original emoji.In addition to meeting the needs of user emotional communication, as part of the emotional experience design of Douyin, it needs to be upgraded to a more brand sense of visual communication, representing corporate culture and value orientation. 
At present, the project includes two parts: emoji upgrade design and creative play design.
