Soccer Fans - Photo Story

Hamburg's Reeperbahn is well known in the world for centuries. Once by sailors who spent their pay in the countless night clubs and today by party people who do the same.

Here, in the heart of Sankt Pauli, lies a soccer stadium which unite the colorful people of this old district every week.

The soccer team is not so special or famous like others, but in Sankt Pauli different values are more important than perfection.
Labour worker and students stand side by side to celebrate with their team no matter if they win or loose. The party is everything.

It took me some months to meet these people in the stadium and to get permission to visit them in their home and to see how a real St. Pauli fan uses to live.

I used colored flashes for these photo story without any photoshop retouching.

Finally, I had two exhibitions (one gallery and the other in the house of the fan club) with some personal statements from the fans I portrayed. Two magazines printed the photo story.
Thank You
