Milly's London Travel Diary 2023-Museum Series
In making this travel picture book, I collected and illustrated many elements of a trip to London.
I concentrated on changing the cover for content and effect. The compositional changes guide the reader to the correct information about the pictures - there is information about London landmarks and attractions, etc. These aspects make the overall effect of the cover smoother, more rhythmic and add interest to the images.
The Courtauld is a niche but valuable gallery with a large selection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the architecture; standing on the ground floor, I could see the corridors winding towards the sky. The structure of the exhibition and the way it was arranged also attracted me. Especially when I stood on the top floor, the huge Impressionist works on the walls seemed to announce that this floor would open the door to Impressionist Romanticism.
