Beaten into submission; stripped of the bark; exploited; denuded of all fruits-leaves-flowers; soul sucked dry; chopped down dead.
Much like the way nature is exploited and used by humans for fulfilling their greed; in the same way tribal women are exploited in a patriarchy. With no refuge, their only solace is their sisterhood. Living in the comforts of my house I could never have imagined how tribal women of our country survive. Sympathising with them while reading about them in a small insignificant niche of the newspaper made me wonder how could such an important issue to them not make it to the front pages, my empathy led me to create a tribute to their courage.
