A redesign of the The Sisterhood book series. The female silhouettes depict the main character while the plants reference the garden as the main location in each novel. Each book cover shows one a plant growing to represent the growth of the characters in this dramatic series. The pastel color scheme provides feminine aesthetic in reference to the plot about a group of women leading an investigation. The two word titles are treated in a similar manner to create consistency. On each cover the silhouette uses eye direction to lead the viewer to the title.
These are my initial thumbnails and sketches. I experimented with using just the title with no elements, abstract elements, image and title, and title incorporated in with image. I thought the 2nd row of my black and white thumbnails would be most suited for this series to represent the growth while keeping each book within a consistent theme.
