United by Beer

Packaging
A celebration of Pride captured on a can —

My pro-bono packaging design for a beer supporting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center in New York. I was proud to be invited by a local Brooklyn brewery, Five Boroughs Brewing Co., to design their Pride month release in 2021: United by Beer.
A design to feel joyous and festive

A rousing cheers to the undeniable heroism and spirit of generations of past LGBTQ+ community members.
A deconstructed rainbow flag into a wrap of super-sized, colorful confetti; the can becomes its own vibrant symbol of celebration, and pride.
The minimal and graphic design makes a statement, standing out on the shelf. In hand, the can is pure pride—touted and toasted throughout the month’s parades and events.
Glennda Testone, The Center's Executive Director, points to the direct, positive impact that the United By Beer collaboration has on the organization's work. “With [the support of Five Boroughs Brewing Co.], we are able to provide thousands of LGBTQ+ New Yorkers with myriad services and spaces to grow, heal, flourish, and come together as a community.” For every beer sold, over 50% of the profits go directly to The Center.

In 2021, we were able to donate thousands of dollars and unite thousands of LGBTQ+ New Yorkers. But what made me most proud was to see the beer in the hands of my fellow New Yorkers during the Pride month festivities.
