A Theme of the 12th Gwangju Biennale, which was created in 1995, is “Imagined Borders”. Beyond geopolitical boundaries, Gwangju Biennale talk about politics, economics, emotions, and the ‘borders’ that are becoming increasingly complex and invisible to generations.

The “Imagined Borders” is a catalogue of works by 165 artists from 43 countries. “Imagined Borders” contains 4 sections on page 464. It consists of 7 exhibitions consisting of 11 curators, “GB commission”, a new project reflecting the history of Gwangju, “Pavilion Project”, a satellite project involving overseas art groups, and “Special Project”, a Lee Lee Nam’s media art project.

The “Imagined Borders” used abstraction of graphic motifs and colors for “borders’. It is characterized by expressing the theme by emphasizing the borders between the ground and the figure and the borders between the letters and the letters in the space of the space. We used the “AG Super Black Gothic” font on the cover and divider, title.
