Take a dive under with the first functioning mechanical submarine launched in the 1860s. The project originates in France and it took three years to construct this machine. Therefore the official launch date was April sixteenth of 1863. When discovering this project with the letters, this submarine caught me eye. There is so much you can do with items that something to do with the ocean. The main goal was to use diving equipment and have a steampunk feel on other parts of the letters. The challenge was not trying to duplicate items. Sure there many images of fins that could of used but thought it would be a little more interesting to use each image once. It added a little more of a challenge but it made it more fun to create.
