Salesforce Venture Announces Second Impact Fund

The world's leading customer relationship management platform, Salesforce announced an investment of $100 million to increase business growth of cloud companies as part of its global strategic investment segment, Salesforce Ventures. The capital is part of its Impact Fund program, which initially committed $50 million in 2017.

With its second Impact Fund, Salesforce Ventures will help finance cloud companies developing solutions for environmental and social issues around the world, including advancing equal access to education and healthcare. Salesforce says these global challenges demand both investment and innovative technology-based solutions, and the director of Impact Investing, Claudine Emeott, has said Salesforce has been committed to seeing business as a platform for change since its inception.
