Rainforest Charity Zine Project

In 2019, there was a tragic fire that spread through the Amazon rainforest. Although wildfires occur naturally this one spread to over 563 km². Later on, fires continued to spread this time intentionally to turn forest into farmland. By January 2020 the deforestation covered 8,934km² which is roughly the size of Puerto Rico. These fires resulted in fuelling the current global warming from all the fumes and also a horrible amount of wildlife to die. Because of this, charities started trying to help rehabilitate and rescue the wildlife that was affected and hopefully help to stop the fires from spreading any further and to raise awareness of this catastrophe. So I took the opportunity to help raise money by collaborating with a bunch of artists on a charity art zine called GROW. And in the end we ended up being able to raise a total of 23 580,20€ which we donated to Rainforest Trust to help with this cause.
